file Question Very wide range within the scores

11 years 9 months ago #374 by Jan Erik
Hi
I have tested this benchark like 20 times now, and I got scores from 5621 - 6037 on the tiger preset. I have a shitty CPU, but in all other benchmark I have tested I get the same score each time I run it +/- a few.
I think 8-9% difference is a bit too much. for a benchmark program.
I have watch the benchamark on every run, and havn't seen any stuttering.
My hw specs are in my profile :p
Oh, there is one thing that you should fix, the number 1 text dont have the same spacing as the rest of the numbers.

I know this is still in beta, so hope you can fix it, cause it's a very nice benchmark :D

Thanks for the info about spacing! As for the varying results. It depends on physics and an algorithm called stacking. Stacking occures when one object stands on the other and it's very heavy in computation. When the buildings collapse sometime they don't fall but get stuck and then heavy stacking occures. It happens in all games. If you will have faster CPU then those differences will be smaller.
