file Question Very minor problem

Hi, when activating basic, tiger is not active initially and i have to restart the program. Its not a problem for a "install once, run everyday" people. But some are "install everyday on a dataram, run once". Its not very necessary but gets 20-30 more points :) . AMD really should do something about opengl. I got 3800 in opengl but 6000 in directx (tiger mode).

I have hd7870 and i do clear install for every catalyst, black cat's fur can sometimes give white dot artifacts. This is from being a beta-cat or my gpu? I use 20-30 other benchmarks they run fine. I also downclocked and same. Those white dots really frightened me when i saw first time. They were always on the black cat from the beta-16-17-18-19. So, if my card really burns, how can i know those white dots are from gpu? :) (Could it be a texture-clamp issue?)

Thanks for everything.

Hi!

The bug about restarting will be fixed in next beta, we are aware of that. As for white dots. Could you send us a screenshot of that?
Thanks!
Michal

Really nice effects but cat's fur is like not fully-wrapping, like piece-wise surface filling. Maybe my gpu is defect but all other benchmarks work fine, even furmark.

These white things emerge on random time and random locations. Could they be lighting/glooming or shadowing errors? I can make a video if you want.

Hi Tugrul,

Heh that's our specular and this is the refecting sun. It's just a visual bug not a GPU bug :). It looks exaclty the same on nvidia and on Intel :).

Yeah I could make it lower for this particualr scene.
Thanks.

Hi Michal, using a shadow for every fur particle must be overkill isnt it? :(

I think there are many many triangles over there and thats why nvidia is leading, nvidia cards draw many more triangles per second than amd. (gtx 660 = 2.5 triangles per clock and hd 7970 is 2.0 triangles per clock which is same for 7950 and 7870 and 7850)

If there were more msaa(4x,8x), amd could catch up a bit
