file Question Strange results?

11 years 10 months ago #237 by Josh Mac Weston
Yo.

Having submitted my score, I began to look at the leaderboards to see what people had used to beat me.
www.allbenchmark.com/component/comprofil...20Results?Itemid=318
If you scroll to the bottom of that page, you'll see my results.
Now, the person just above me had an overclocked 6970 + a 3930k at 4.6GHz, so that's fair enough. However, two places above him and we see a 6950 at stock + an AMD 8320 at 4GHz. Both my entry and the 6970 should have demolished the 6950...

Just thought it was worth a mention, as I can't quite wrap my head around it.

HDD changes, antivirus changes, virus :) changes and most importantly different catalyst versions change.

That as may be, but there's no way a stock 6950 with that CPU should be thrashing my score.
Also, would the HDDs really have an impact on the scores? Even so, i'm running the benchmark off of two SSDs in RAID0, so it would only really benefit me.

Hi Josh!
Thanks for noticing this. It's probably a rig with two cards in crossfire. It's a bug that we fight with. We already contacted AMD about it. Take a look here: www.allbenchmark.com/profil/userprofile/3341
Stewart is at first place, but actually he's got a TRI crossfire rig with heavy cooling. So it's a matter of fixing the hardware recognition which is quite unstandarized. That bug is on our priority list.
Thanks!
Michal

Thanks for the response, I guess that makes sense :)
A great benchmark you've got going here - well done.
