I just got a new system over the holidays and decided to run this bechmark but I'm a bit baffled by the low results I'm getting so I thought I'd ask you guys if you've got any ideas. It's only measuring at 3340 with an i5 3570k, 16 GB RAM, ASUS P8 motherboard, Intel 520 system drive (where the benchmark is installed), and my recycled Radeon 5850 (which still does an admirable job despite it's age). Let me know if there's anything out of place you notice on my profile (I ran the cat 720p benchmark). Attached is my DXDiag.

Hi Derek, Indeed suspicious, you should have a score around 5000.
What may be wrong is that you have run the test through integrated GPU. Even if you connect the monitor thorugh Radeon Display ports, the screen can be still rendered using integrated GPU. It may be this way since your clocks for GPU are at idle state (400 MHz, instead of 750MHz). What I can suggest for you to look inside the catalyst panel for a switch that sais: "use Radeon GPU as a primary rendering device". I have such switch in nvidia control panel.
Cheers!
Michal

Hmmm couldn't find a similar setting in Catalyst.
I have a suspicion that my system is actually lowering the GPU clock when under lighter load. Games work great and all but anything where it's taking measurements doesn't seem to do well. Maybe I will try again and disable the internal GPU from BIOS.

Hi Derek, If you will encounter problems in disabling integrated GPU, try to check out this link for some tips:

Okay so I figured this out in my ASUS Bios - had to change primary display from auto to PCIe and it finished at 5285. Much better (Still not sure how accurate it is though, although this GPU is probably a bottleneck for intensive DX11 so that would certainly explain it)
