ALLBenchmark is suggesting to disable Virtual Memory. I would do it but your benchmark says nothing as to the benefits or any disadvantages with doing so. Is it necessarily wise to suggest that and with the simple click of one button to allow such a thing to happen. It's not like I could undo it through your benchmark. For the sake of new users I think this option should be explained more.
Googling disable virtual memory or page file pulls up many old topics on the subject, many from when large amounts of RAM were deemed unnecessary. I did find this through a Steam forum: arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?p=21013929#p21013929
and this user freaks out about it. I've read posts saying disabling the Page File will lead to problems with Windows error reporting. Could anyone elaborate on this. I really would like to have a system that doesn't hitch when things are first being loaded into memory...

Thanks for that. It was a stupid idea of one of our programmers - we didn't think of consequences - we will delete that in next BETA.

Thanks for responding Mr. Staniszewski!
Could anyone from a tech background elaborate more on the Virtual Memory/Page File debacle? Here is what I could gather:
from 2008: http://blogs.technet.com/b/markrussinovich/archive/2008/11/17/3155406.aspx
from 2011: http://www.tweakhound.com/2011/10/10/the-windows-7-pagefile-and-running-without-one/
Very long reads, so it seems Adjusting Page File is largely dependent on Your amount of Memory (RAM) the size and type of Hard Drive(s) IDE SATA SSD and what you plan to do with your pc. All this and I still don't really know what the answer is. Some say they disabled page file years ago, no problems, some say don't do it you're asking for trouble, minimize it, make it 1.5x your amount of RAM, etc. I think we've all gone through the research yet many of us don't really know what is best practice. My guess would be that leaving it up to Windows is the best choice(?!) but who wants a dynamically changing page file reading/writing/contracting/expanding on their drive.
Oh well, thanks for the response, Mr. Staniszewski. My nieces laugh when they watch your teams benchmark, thanks alot!!

From Microsoft...
" If you have enough RAM installed in your computer, you may not require a page file at all, unless one is required by a specific application."
more info here: How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows
